Junky Styling Portfolio: Marilee Bono
This past Saturday (8/18/12) we had the pleasure of styling Marilee Bono, a special needs teacher by day and and a undercover hot mama by night. Well at least for this styling gig anyway. Marilee has a very carefree style; it's laid back, simple, and a little tom-boyish. We couldn't wait to get our hands on her and some pumps. For this styling session we chose 2 looks. The first look was "Marilee", but a little more polished. It was a look that could be worn from day to day. The other look was a night time look. We wanted this look to be super glam with a little edge. In the beginning of the shoot, stood a shy and uncomfortable Marilee, but as the shoot progressed you can really see her personality evolve. It was amazing! Here is a look at the transformation.

A Junkies Hair Cure: A look into Miss Jessie Haircare Line
So I think I have found a hair solution.........
My hair has been without a relaxer for well over a year -boy how time flies! So, needless to say I have experimented with so many natural haircare products its ridiculous. I have tried most of the commercial brands, but they have left my hair dry and hard to manage. I have been searching for an all natural preferably organic haircare product for thick curly hair that keeps it healthy, continuously growing and moisturized. So after searching high and low, I went out on a limb and found a natural hair product called "Miss Jessie". It's hair care heaven! Miss Jessie's haircare line is geared towards natural curly hair for all textures. They specialize in keeping natural hair moisturized, damaged free, minimized tangles, manageable, shiny and most importantly healthy.
I have started using the curly buttercreme product for almost a month and I absolutely love it. It doesn't leave an oily residue nor does it weigh down my hair.It moisturizes my hair with a healthy glow. I have noticed growth as well which is always a plus! Miss Jessie's product line also carries deep hair treatments, conditioners, styling products and hair cleaners for all curly hair textures. If you visit the website now, you can receive FREE PRODUCT SAMPLES, while supplies last. Take a risk and try it out. Enjoy!

Travel Junky No.2: A Road Trip to Michigan
If I could spend my life traveling, shopping, and eating I would die a happy woman. Unfortunately, right now there is a little more to my life than that, but I still get to travel quite frequently. My husband and I take a trip every year (at least we try) to our family cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It's a quiet little paradise, but the memories are abundant. This year, instead of flying (im still jetlagged from my trip to Europe) we decided to drive the 18 hours from Richmond to Michigan. IT WAS A BLAST!!!! On our way there we stopped and spent the night in Pennslyvania and then stayed in the U.P. for 9 days. Our our way back home we made a 2 day pitstop in Detroit to catch a tigers game (my husband is a huge fan of anything Michigan). There were tons of little stops in between. We had the time of our lives. In fact, Im kind of depressed tht I can't just be a nomad for the rest of my life. Huhhhhh. Someday! Anywho, here are a few clicks from my camera of our journey. ENJOY!
