Tis' the season for Giving.
I saw this idea on a blog (rayandjen.com) and thought it would be a great idea to get rid of things that you don't wear in your closet. Let's face it. We are all guilty of holding onto things in our wardrobe that we "might" try to wear, or that we need to loose 5-10 pounds in order to fit in that perfect dress(hanging head while brushing the ground with the tip of my foot). We are all guilty of this. So,Why not? Every January, turn all of the hangers in your closet backwards, like this. It takes about 60 seconds:
(image courtesy of blog mentioned above)
Each time you wear an item, hang it back up in the normal fashion, which takes zero effort to remember or do. In June, any item that is still hanging backwards has not been worn in 6 months, donate it to Goodwill or your favorite Thrift store. Then, repeat every year. Amazing way to rid your space of clutter, and give back. LOVE IT!!!!!
Try this recipe...
This year, I am hosting the first annual dudettes Christmas shindig! All my friends are getting older, graduating college, and getting maried. I figured we needed some traditions to keep us together, even if it is only once a year. You will start to see a string of posts, of all things xmas, so bare with me. Im really starting to get in the Holiday mood.
Oh yeah...Onto the recipe, I plan on making some rendition of this recipe as favors for my girls. BTW, this was taken from marthastewart.com
Ingredients
1 cup pecan halves (3 1/4 ounces)
12 soft caramel-candy cubes
1 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, broken into 12 pieces (1/2 inch each)
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange pecans in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet; toast in oven until fragrant, about 10 minutes. Remove from oven (leave oven on); set aside 36 pecans on baking sheet. Finely chop remaining pecans (for about 1/4 cup); set aside.
2.When pecans are cool enough to handle, make 12 clusters by arranging 2 pecans vertically, side by side, below 1 pecan placed horizontally. Gently flatten each caramel; place 1 on top of each cluster. Bake clusters 5 minutes. Remove from oven (leave oven on).
3.Place 1 piece of chocolate on top of each cluster. Return to oven; bake until chocolate begins to melt, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from oven. With the back of a spoon, gently spread chocolate over caramel without completely covering it.
4.Sprinkle clusters with reserved chopped pecans. Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes. Bring to room temperature before serving.

A Junkies Diary: Entry No.2
I found myself in deep thought this Tuesday afternoon, and not on my neverending stack of paperwork on my desk. Shhhh don't say anything. Im supposed to be working right now. About 15 minutes ago I updated my facebook status. Again, I know Im supposed to be working, but hey we all have a small case of ADD. It read, "A year from now, you will wish, that you would have started today." I thought the blurb was both inspiring and indicitive of my overall procrastination with getting healthy again. I feel, I am really going to do it this time. I am really going to get down to the 125 pounds, I have been trying to get down to for the past year or so. I have to, my closet is depending on me (shopping detox until I am back at a size 4). I AM DEPENDING ON ME!!!!!!
I Im looking for inspiration. Any exercise/weigthloss blogs you can recommend to me?
Let me know please comment below!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!

A Junkies Diary: Entry No.1
I was in the mood today to share something with you all besides my superficial obsessions. All addictions usually have deep roots; the keys is digging to find them. Since you all know me as basically a typing hand behind a computer screen I wanted to really intrduce myself to you! My name is Ashley (bka fashion.junkies.united or ashwoo10 on YouTube) the most common name of all time!! I actually don't care for my name very much. My name preceeds me as a boring, a copycat, that dreams of white picket fenses, and suburbia. THAT IS NOT ME AT ALL!!!! Although, I am extremely delighted my parents had the sense to give me a decent name! Morever, that I can put my name down on a job application or resume and feel confident that it would not meet the trashcan before my objective is read.
Anywho....stating the obvious, I obsessed with fashion, both old and new. I have recently withing that past year or year and a half become increasingly addicted to thrift store shopping. Right now I think it trumps retail shopping. 1) because I live in a small city, and we have 1 H&M, 1, Forver21, and 1 Urban Outfitters, so after a while you see everyone wearing the same thing and 2) I love the thrill of the hunt 3) more bang for your buck. I don't know a single sould that does not get joy out of scoring an designer piece at 1/100 of the retail price. Really, I nabbed a Christian Dior pencil skir for $2. You can't beat that!!!!
Interior design and Party/Event planning is also a huge passion of mine. Pintrest.com has been a catalyst for my creativity, and really has helped me create some unique pieces for my home. I hope to share those things with you all on my blog as well. As for event planning, I love see the seeing the excitement on the faces of my guest when I host an event. My next one will be around Christmas. I am hosting a Xmas party for my girls. That should be exciting. I will defintiely post pictures of that as well, and future events.
Lastly, I am a food junky. My husband (I also love being a wife) was extremely excited to have found this about me when he met me. He reeps the benfits of some great meals and some even better leftovers to take to work. However, he has also been a lab rat, and has suffered during the testing of a few experiements. It happens to the best of us.
Anyways...
This blog will reflect all my lifes obsessions. What are yours?

Beauty Junky: BeautyMint Prelaunch
If you have been obsessing over JewelMint for the past year like I have. You probably were just as excited as I was to know they are still innovating and bringing new products to our computer screen every week. They have launced this past summer their StyleMint website, and now they are embarking on another sister company Beautymint. BeautyMint will run just like their affliated websites. Well, just like all their other company this one is celebrity branded. Adding Jessica Simpson to the host of familiar faces that are representing the brand. You can see more info about what is to come with the hyperlink below. Including how to get $ off BeautyMint purchases and a chance to win a trip to LA. Enjoy and stay beautiful!

Handbag Junky: Classicly on Trend
Finding a handbag is not an easy task, especially for me. I am extremely picky to say the least!!! I Don't like too many bells and whistles. I tend to go for classic shapes, and styles that are classic or iconic to the brand. Thus, ensuring that they will never go out of style. I like chunky hardware, but it can't be everywhere. I also want them to be spacious and sturdy. Ok enough with the checklist!
So, while on the hunt for my perfect handbag for this fall; I stopped at J.Crew. I was able to score their Newsstand tote, in black leather, and at a ridiculously low price. It has everything that I love in a bag. The soft black leather, the space, the shape, and bronze hardware was everything that I was searching for!!!!! The bag was orginally $198 online, but I stopped in my local J.Crew store and saw that it was on sale for $99, but wait it gets better. I managed to strike up a rather interesting convo with one of the girls that worked there. Needless to say, a few laughs and a high five later, I managed to score this bag for $60. Its so easy to make friends when there are cute clothes surrounding you! fashion.junkies.united!!!!!!! woooo hooooooo.
